What are Penetration Seals?

Penetration seals (also known as firestopping) are systems designed to seal openings created by service penetrations, such as pipes, cables, or conduits that pass-through fire-rated walls or floors.

Why do they Matter?

These penetrations can compromise the integrity of a fire-rated barrier. A properly installed penetration seal restores the fire resistance rating and prevents fire, smoke, and toxic gases from spreading through a building.
